The 3rd winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Tuesday 30th April 1811 over the Rowley Mile course, was Trophonious (5/2 fav), a black colt by Sorcerer out of a Dungannon mare, owned by Mr Andrew. A field of 11 runners contested the race, which was won easily, was worth 1450 Guineas (Equivalent to £109,700 in 2017)
